Dr. Bernd Federmann, LL.M. has been with KPMG Law since 2007. As a partner at KPMG Law, he heads the KPMG EMA Legal Compliance Practice and the KPMG Global Legal Industrial Manufacturing Sector. 

The focus of his advice is on the design, development and implementation of governance and compliance management systems especially against the background of the requirements of ESG regulations, such as CSRD with ESRS or CS3D. His focus lies also on supporting organizations in compliance operations. This concerns topics like conducting compliance risk and relevance assessments, setting up policy management or whistleblowing systems. He also supports internal audit departments in structuring and conducting their internal audits. 

He is the author of numerous compliance specialist publications and co-author of various compliance standard works including “Handbuch Managerhaftung” Edition 2022, “Der Compliance Officer” Edition 2023, or “Kommentar Hinweisgeberschutzgesetz” Edition 2024).

Michael Pohl is a lawyer at KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH in Leipzig. 

The focus of his advice is on the development and implementation of compliance management systems (CMS), as well as supporting companies in regular compliance operations, in particular in the coordination and execution of compliance risk assessments and training as well as whistleblowing and whistleblower systems. 

He also advises on mass proceedings and mass claims, including technology solutions.

Timo von Rummel is a lawyer and has been working for KPMG Law in the Compliance & White Collar Crime practice group since 2023.
